Sihl - Etzel - Pfannenstiel Gravel Route

This route takes you around Lake Zurich, discovering some of the most beautiful gravel roads in the area and some hidden gems. It combines some gravel roads, single track trails and some asphalt roads. You’ll have to push your bike in a couple of short sections (200m) but it’s definitely worth the effort!

As you ascend the Sihl River towards Etzel, you'll pass through tunnels carved into the rock. Before reaching Etzel, an incredible view of Lake Zurich will unveil on your left. From Etzel, enjoy a fast asphalt downhill ride to Pfäffikon before crossing to Rapperswil to refuel before tackling the Pfannenstiel climb. Once you reach the top, it's mostly downhill until Zurich, with some nice rolling roads and single trails alongside the river.
